Press Release - 3rd International Breakfast Meeting to serve successful way forward for boating industry

We’re extremely proud and happy to present the 3rd “International Breakfast Meeting”, with a brand new logo to celebrate the success of this event organised jointly by boot Dusseldorf and European Boating Industry.

The event will be held on Tuesday, 23 January 2018 from 9:00 to 10:30 at the Congress Centre Düsseldorf (CCD East, Room M) on the boot fairground. Registration will start at 8h45 and there will be some extra time after the event for networking.

The idea of the breakfast briefing session was inaugurated in 2016. It looked at subjects such as competitiveness, challenges and trends in boating. The 2017 event concentrated on how the industry should become more attractive for new comers, as well as adapt better to elderly people on board.

This year will focus on the market development in both well-established boating leading countries, with the examples of France and the USA, as well as in the emerging countries, illustrated by Colombia and South Korea.

After a lively introduction from Anouk Groen (CMF Trend Forecaster) presenting the audience a dynamic and visual journey, depicting the latest design trends in Sports and power products, Robert Newsome, Vice President, Engineering Standards & Membership, National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and Sébastien Milcendeau, Technical Manager and International Business Development for the French Federation of Nautical Industries (FIN) will present respectively the US and the French market. Udo Kleinitz, Secretary General of The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA), and Tim Coventry, Special Adviser to the Korean International Boat Show, will then move onto the growing markets of Colombia and South Korea.

Participation to the International Breakfast Meeting is free for all exhibitors and the press. It offers a unique opportunity to combine stimulating presentations, lively exchanges of ideas and networking, while enjoying your breakfast.

The meeting will be held in English. The programme and registration form are available online.
